Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements and trial balances.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies.
- Process payroll for multiple entities with high accuracy.
- Generate financial reports for stakeholders and management.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and expense audits.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified (or working towards) with a focus on accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a part-time or full-time accounting role.
- Proficiency in UK accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of VAT, Corporation Tax, and payroll legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
