Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for a small team of employees.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing trial balances.
- Maintain the general ledger and reconcile subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare and send out invoices to clients and process incoming payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and tax documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a night shift setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the night shift.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the day shift team remotely.
