Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are posted correctly and timely.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including trial balances and income statements, for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure tax compliance documentation is up to date.
- Perform monthly close procedures efficiently to meet reporting deadlines.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data entry.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
