Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions nightly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Manage payroll processing for assigned departments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with night shift exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Maryland tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
