Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accurate processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage the night shift payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records, invoices, and receipts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and general ledgers.
- Monitor and update the company's accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) during the night cycle.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, IF statements, and Pivot Tables.
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
