As a key member of our back-office operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining our clients' financial health. Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Accurately process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors while tracking incoming payments from clients.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform nightly and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data accuracy.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, posting journal entries, and ensuring all accounts are balanced.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance analysis reports.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and process payroll for specific departments or clients with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Month-End Close: Execute the month-end close procedures, including accruals and adjusting entries, with minimal supervision.
- Data Integrity: Audit financial data for errors, discrepancies, or missing information and rectify issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a night shift or remote setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and communicating with team leads.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and reliability during night shifts.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.
