Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheets
- Generate detailed expense reports and variance analyses
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial documents
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Ensure compliance with federal tax regulations and GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Familiarity with DC tax regulations and local compliance
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, CPB) highly valued
