As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. You will handle complex reconciliations, process payroll, and ensure all financial reporting is accurate before the morning team takes over. Responsibilities
- Perform daily account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage and reconcile payroll entries for night shift and weekend staff.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently during night hours.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
