As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity by ensuring accurate data entry and reporting while the rest of the world sleeps.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures during the night shift.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts with precision and accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices with a focus on efficiency and error reduction.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analysis, and budget forecasts for leadership review.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Maintain accurate digital filing systems and ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA or CPA-eligible candidates preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for night shift or high-volume reconciliation roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
