Role Overview:
As our Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial records outside of standard business hours. This position offers the unique advantage of a high-focus environment, allowing you to dive deep into reconciliations and complex analysis without the interruptions of a busy day shift.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities
- Perform daily account reconciliations and conduct variance analysis.
- Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable transactions.
- Prepare nightly financial reports and ensure complete data integrity.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical financial records and documentation.
- Communicate critical financial updates to the day-shift leadership team.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
