We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Night Shift Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the heart of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to play a critical role in our 24/7 operations, ensuring that all financial data is processed accurately and efficiently during the off-peak hours.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, processing journal entries, and supporting the month-end close process. You will work independently in a quiet environment, managing complex reconciliations and generating essential reports to support the wider finance department.

Responsibilities
- Execute nightly bank reconciliations and general ledger adjustments to ensure data accuracy.
- Process high volumes of invoices and expenses with strict adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately for the overnight period.
- Generate and review nightly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Maintain the audit trail and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Assist the day shift team with queries and ad-hoc financial analysis tasks.
Qualifications
- Relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or AAT Level 4 with substantial experience.
- Proven experience working in a night shift or 24/7 finance environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a remote team.
