Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Assist with the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and audit invoices, contracts, and expense reports for accuracy and authorization.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure data integrity within the accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proven experience working the night shift in a professional setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
