Apex Financial Solutions is currently seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Night Shift Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-day and end-of-month reconciliations for general ledger accounts, credit cards, and bank statements.
- Process and review payroll transactions for accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly closing processes by preparing journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and profit & loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to resolve any discrepancies or urgent accounting needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
