Responsibilities
- Reconciliation Excellence: Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Transaction Processing: Process and verify high-volume accounts payable and receivable invoices with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all journal entries and adjustments are properly documented.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems; assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify discrepancies in financial data and collaborate with the day-shift team to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience: Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within a night shift or 24-hour operations environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for documenting financial processes.
