Job Overview
As a Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for the end-of-day financial close, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of essential financial reports. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented professionals who excel in an autonomous setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidate status is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and reliably during night shifts.
