Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-day reconciliation of GL accounts, bank statements, and transaction records
- Process and validate journal entries for overnight transactions
- Prepare daily financial reports and variance analyses for morning review
- Assist with month-end closing procedures during overnight shifts
- Monitor payment processing systems for anomalies and discrepancies
- Collaborate with offshore teams on cross-timezone financial operations
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for overnight activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of accounting experience with night shift or remote work background
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with advanced functions
- Strong understanding of GAAP and reconciliation methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-hours
- Valid Virginia CPA license or actively pursuing certification
