Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Process and analyze payroll data for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Monitor accounts receivable/payable cycles to optimize cash flow
- Assist in internal audits and maintain SOX compliance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Generate financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Support tax preparation activities with CPA coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with night shift exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations (CA-specific knowledge a plus)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-hours
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven experience in month-end closing processes
