Responsibilities
- Assist in the thorough evaluation of credit applications and financial documents.
- Perform ratio analysis and trend analysis on borrower data to determine creditworthiness.
- Maintain and update internal credit databases with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and written recommendations for management review.
- Monitor existing accounts for early signs of financial distress or payment issues.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Conduct basic research on industry trends and market conditions affecting borrowers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is a plus but not mandatory.
- No prior professional experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
