Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by posting and updating journal entries.
- Month-End Close: Assist with the month-end and year-end close procedures by preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic financial records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic coursework in accounting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles (e.g., double-entry accounting) and general accounting software.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables are a bonus).
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
