Key Duties:
As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will:
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll for multiple clients using industry-standard software.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Communicate with clients regarding account status and invoice inquiries.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and have a strong work ethic. You need:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must reside in Washington State.
