Responsibilities
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify documentation, and manage payments to vendors and collections from clients.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by collecting time sheets and preparing necessary documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and federal regulations (GAAP).
- Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. (Graduates with an Associate’s degree and relevant coursework will also be considered).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related administrative role; recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is required; pivot tables and macros a plus) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to work with high levels of accuracy and precision in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
