Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Enter and verify financial data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Support the month-end close process by preparing trial balances and adjusting entries.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both digital and physical.
- Generate basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of tax documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
