Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Bank Reconciliation: Help reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist the senior accounting team with preparing trial balances and basic financial reports.
- Data Entry: Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in our accounting software (QuickBooks and Xero) in a timely and error-free manner.
- Document Management: Organize and file physical and digital financial documents.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience is required. We value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn over past job history.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, with a strong preference for proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas and formatting) and a willingness to learn accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
