We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn the fundamentals of financial reporting, reconciliation, and tax preparation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Process accounts payable invoices, verify expenses, and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Support the tax team with the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to maintain up-to-date records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships count).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros are a plus).
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and general accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
