As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with our senior finance team, gaining hands-on experience in daily financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role offers a clear career path for professional development in one of the most vibrant business hubs in the Pacific Northwest.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and posting of daily journal entries and general ledger accounts.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices with high accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by gathering and organizing financial data.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- No prior professional experience required; we value potential and attitude over tenure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel (formulas and functions).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
