Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process.
- Perform basic financial data entry and maintain accurate digital filing systems.
- Assist in preparing simple financial reports and expense reports.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing inquiries.
- Assist senior staff with tax preparation and auditing tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior professional accounting experience required. We are looking for eager learners.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
