Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including data entry and invoice processing.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing trial balances and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the organization of financial documentation and filing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Perform general clerical duties related to accounting, such as copying, scanning, and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Assist the senior accounting team with audits and internal reviews.
- Learn and apply basic accounting software and ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in accounting or finance.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, formatting, charts).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to obtain a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation within 3-5 years.
