Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing adjusting entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial statements.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and assist in collections efforts for accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Compile data for various internal and external reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Support: Maintain and update accounting records, assist with journal entries, and review documentation for audit trails.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and responses to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a plus.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Soft Skills: Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
