Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Organize and file physical and electronic documents for audit purposes.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of basic financial statements and variance analysis.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior accounting experience required – we provide the training.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be located in the Detroit metropolitan area.
