Responsibilities
- Process Daily Transactions: Assist in recording daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all records match financial statements.
- Month-End Close: Support the accounting team with the preparation of monthly financial reports and the month-end close process.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate digital and physical filing systems for invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
- Reporting: Prepare basic financial spreadsheets and assist in generating standard financial reports.
- Compliance: Help ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP are a plus).
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, ensure accuracy, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn new software and processes.
