Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Assist with audits and respond to IRS/state inquiries
- Develop client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Utilize tax software (Lacerte/ProSeries) for efficient processing and accuracy
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex tax planning strategies
- Maintain organized client documentation and case files
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Kentucky CPA license or actively pursuing certification
