Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with precision
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for diverse portfolios
- Lead month-end closing processes and ensure SOX compliance
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Conduct thorough audits of financial records and processes
- Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership
- Mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record of leading month-end close processes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
