Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for 200+ employees
- Manage time and attendance systems, reconciling discrepancies and approving overtime
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including EFTPS filings
- Administer garnishments, deductions, and benefit deductions with precision
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve employee payroll issues within 24 hours
- Prepare payroll tax filings, year-end W-2s, and 1099s
- Conduct payroll audits and maintain meticulous payroll records
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll system improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms
- Strong knowledge of CA labor laws and multi-state payroll compliance
- Proven ability to manage sensitive financial data with 100% accuracy
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR required
- CPP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
