Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and collateral data to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to mitigate risk and ensure portfolio health.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and detailed recommendations for credit committee approval.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early signs of financial distress or deteriorating credit quality.
- Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies, banking regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to streamline the loan origination and approval processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of banking regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Basel III) is highly preferred.
