Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll entries and maintaining payroll records in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with external accountants to gather necessary documentation for quarterly and annual tax filings.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring all journal entries are posted correctly and audit trails are preserved.
- Expense Management: Review and categorize employee expense reports and general business expenses.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of Nevada state tax regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
