Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and analysis to optimize client strategies
- Manage IRS audits and compliance documentation
- Develop tax planning solutions for multi-entity structures
- Maintain client relationships through proactive communication
- Mentor junior associates on tax software proficiency
- Stay current on tax law changes affecting Lubbock businesses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA designation
- 3+ years of public tax experience
- Advanced proficiency in tax software (Lacerte, ProSystem fx)
- Deep understanding of IRS procedures and Texas tax codes
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
