Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ employees including garnishments, bonuses, and commissions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA, AZ, NV)
- Manage payroll system implementations and troubleshooting (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Conduct quarterly reconciliations and year-end tax filings (Form 941, 940, W-2)
- Lead payroll audits and respond to employee inquiries with exceptional service
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and 401(k) contributions
- Generate payroll reports for executive leadership and external auditors
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or QuickBooks Payroll certification
- Expert knowledge of CA labor laws and IRS tax regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience with payroll audits and compliance documentation
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
