Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare for alternative futures and strategic pivots
- Translate complex technological concepts into compelling narratives for stakeholders
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future-focused innovations into development cycles
- Build and maintain a network of industry experts, academics, and innovation partners
- Produce thought leadership content (whitepapers, talks, articles) positioning company as futurist authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology, Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, technology consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented strategies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies and their societal/business implications
- Exceptional analytical and systems-thinking capabilities
- Outstanding communication skills for diverse audiences (technical to executive)
- Experience with scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio of published futurist work or strategic initiatives
