Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026+ strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and board members
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align departments on future opportunities and threats
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, research labs, and innovation hubs
- Design and implement a corporate innovation pipeline targeting 2026 market gaps
- Monitor geopolitical, technological, and socio-cultural shifts affecting long-term strategy
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and analytical frameworks
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Business Innovation, or related field
- Minimum 8 years in strategy consulting, R&D, or corporate innovation leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Published thought leadership in futures thinking or strategy publications
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar) preferred
