You'll lead cross-disciplinary initiatives, decode exponential trends, and translate complex futures into actionable blueprints for Fortune 500 clients. Collaborate with quantum computing pioneers, neurotech researchers, and climate architects while mentoring next-generation futurists in our Austin innovation hub.
Responsibilities
- Develop horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive technologies by 2026 (quantum AI, neurointerfaces, climate engineering)
- Design scenario-planning models for geopolitical, economic, and technological convergence points
- Lead client workshops on future-proofing strategies against exponential risks and opportunities
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals and industry whitepapers
- Build AI-powered trend-forecasting tools using predictive analytics and machine learning
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon-scanning methodologies and ethical foresight
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype 2026-ready solutions in our innovation lab
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology research
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures scenarios adopted by global organizations
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Certification in scenario planning (e.g., Shell Methodology) or foresight methodologies
- Experience with AI trend-prediction tools and data visualization platforms
- Deep understanding of 2026 geopolitical and sustainability megatrends
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures to C-suite audiences
