Responsibilities
- Forecast technology and societal trends through 2026 using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and data modeling
- Develop strategic frameworks for exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for Fortune 500 clients
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight methodologies
- Present at global conferences on future-focused leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published research on emerging technologies or societal transformation
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Experience with Delphi method, SWOT analysis, and horizon scanning tools
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-strategy implementations
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal impacts
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
