Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology foresight framework through market research, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions in AI, biotech, and quantum computing
- Partner with product teams to integrate foresight insights into product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Deliver executive briefings and stakeholder presentations on emerging technological paradigms and competitive landscapes
- Establish strategic alliances with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia to accelerate innovation
- Design and implement risk mitigation protocols for disruptive technological shifts
- Mentor a high-performing team of innovation specialists and futurists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record translating foresight into commercialized products or services
- Expertise in emerging technologies: Generative AI, synthetic biology, quantum computing, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFS from Association of Professional Futurists) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption (white papers, patents, or industry publications)
