Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026+ innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive technologies and market shifts
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing proof-of-concept prototypes for futuristic solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and industry pioneers
- Deliver forward-looking trend analyses and scenario planning for executive leadership
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) across business units
- Mentor innovation specialists and cultivate a culture of calculated risk-taking
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling stakeholder presentations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products or services
- Expertise in emerging technologies with published thought leadership
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Social Sciences (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Exceptional data storytelling and executive communication skills
- Experience securing large-scale innovation budgets and resources
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ futuristic concepts commercialized to market
- Global network of industry futurists and academic researchers
