Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to minimize liabilities
- Manage audit defense processes and represent clients before tax authorities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive client relationships through proactive communication
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte) to ensure accurate reporting
- Collaborate with senior advisors on complex tax structures and transactions
- Stay current on evolving tax legislation and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (CPA/EA preferred)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience with public accounting firm
- Advanced proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep understanding of IRS regulations and Kentucky tax codes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
