Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments to vendors, and manage incoming customer payments accurately.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Perform daily posting of transactions and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with the monthly payroll process, ensuring compliance with labor laws and accurate tax withholdings.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to internal policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
