Role Overview
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a vital role in the financial health of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process payroll for multiple entities using ADP or similar software.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and filing requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
