The Role
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Prepare and send invoices, and collect payments as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing.
- Process payroll data and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess strong communication skills and be able to interact with clients and vendors professionally.
