Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors while accurately recording receipts from clients.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
  • Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with external accountants during tax season to gather necessary documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and audit financial data for accuracy.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Organize and maintain financial files, including receipts, invoices, and contracts, in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
