Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist the CPA firm with annual tax preparation and audits.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial documentation and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
