Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and accounting software
- Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Assist with audits and financial reporting for diverse client portfolios
- Implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate with tax professionals during filing seasons
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Excel
- Proven knowledge of GAAP and Maryland tax requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) a plus
